Telcoin (TEL) is an ERC-20 token developed on the Ethereum blockchain to be accepted and used by Telecom operators around the world. The total supply of Telcoin is 100 billion. The relatively large supply solves the problem of dealing with numbers after the decimal points such as 1 satoshi carried 7 zeros behind it. In most of the financial transaction, there are maximum 2 numbers after the decimal and Telcoin also will stop at 2 digits after decimal i.e. 0.00. The Telecom industry has grown into micro banks providing customers with the ability to pay using their mobile phones. Telcoin is targeting Telecom operators to use them for their financial transactions with their customers and with other operators around the world. Telcoin was founded by Claude Eguienta (CEO) and Paul Neuner (Chairman). It is owned by Telcoin Pte Ltd Singapore. The majority of the team members are from Japan. The team consists of developers, researchers, customer service, legal, account managers and marketing personals. The team consists of 9 members and 6 selected advisors. The purpose of Telcoin is to provide mass adoption of crypto assets by overcoming the three points of friction i.e. trust, reach and Know Your Customer compliance. By partnering with Telecom operators and distributing Telcoin through them, these issues are solved.
